About Us
We didn't discover dandelion. We just refused to ruin it.
Why we exist
Dandelion root has been used by herbalists for over 300 years — listed in European pharmacopeias, documented in Ayurvedic and Native American traditions, brewed by grandmothers long before anyone put it in a capsule. It has never needed improving. What it needed was someone willing to make it properly.
Most dandelion supplements on shelves today are non-organic root powder in gelatin capsules, padded with magnesium stearate, sold at the lowest possible price point in the highest possible milligram count. The ingredient is real. The execution is not.
Rootwella exists because that gap was unacceptable.
How we make it
The Daily Root uses USDA Organic dandelion root extracted twice — once with water to capture the inulin-rich, bile-stimulating compounds, and once with ethanol to capture the lipid-soluble triterpenes most capsules miss entirely. Both matter. Neither alone is the full picture.
The result goes into a pullulan vegan capsule — plant-based, smaller than the standard, no gelatin. One capsule, once daily. Nothing else added.
No magnesium stearate. No titanium dioxide. No proprietary blends. No fillers we'd have to explain away. Every batch is third-party tested for identity, potency, heavy metals, microbials, and glyphosate. The Certificate of Analysis is available on request.
What we believe
Ancient wisdom and modern science are not opposites. The best supplements respect both — three centuries of traditional use as the foundation, and rigorous third-party testing as the standard. We don't choose between them.
Clean label is not a marketing phrase. It is a minimum requirement. If an ingredient exists to make manufacturing easier rather than to serve the person taking the capsule, it doesn't belong in the bottle.
Simplicity is not a compromise. One ingredient, properly sourced and properly extracted, outperforms a twelve-ingredient blend that obscures what's actually in it. We will always choose the honest single-ingredient over the impressive-sounding stack.
A guarantee should mean something. Sixty days. Any bottle. Full refund. No questions.
The one rule
If it isn't good enough to take ourselves every single morning, it doesn't leave the facility.
That has been true since the first batch. It will be true for every batch after.
